Job Title: Associate - Leveraged & Acquisition Finance

Location: London, United Kingdom

Team Structure: small, entrepreneurial team with strong cross-border coordination

Role Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing Leveraged Finance platform, which is actively expanding its capabilities across Europe and the US. The team is building out its leveraged and high-yield offering, with recent senior hires, and a strategy focused on using internal capital to support private credit and uni-tranche solutions. The Associate will play a key role in deal execution, origination support, and platform development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of leveraged loans and high-yield bonds, including financial modelling, credit analysis, and preparation of internal approval materials.
• Work across a range of transactions, from smaller private credit deals (EBITDA £30m) to large-cap sponsor and corporate financings.
• Collaborate with coverage, syndicate, distribution, and credit teams across London and North America.
• Assist in pitch preparation and client engagement, contributing to origination efforts.
• Help shape the team's strategic direction, including building out processes, coverage, and product capabilities.
• Participate in team meetings and coordination calls with North America, gaining exposure to global deal flow.
• Contribute to the development of internal distribution capabilities, including joint bookrunner and passive roles.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: Around 5 years in leveraged finance, high-yield, or sponsor coverage. Candidates with broader experience across loans and bonds are highly valued.
• Strong financial modelling and credit analysis
• Experience with HY bonds is particularly important
• Ability to work independently in a lean team
• Comfortable with ambiguity and entrepreneurial environments
