Job Title: Analyst - Leveraged Finance
Location: London, UK
Team: Leveraged Finance Origination

Role Summary:

A leading investment bank is seeking a technically strong Analyst to join its Leveraged Finance team in London. The role involves supporting the origination and execution of sponsor-backed and corporate leveraged transactions across Europe, with a focus on large-cap deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, dividend recapitalisations, and refinancings.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models including LBO, debt sizing, and covenant analysis.
  • Prepare pitch materials, internal credit papers, and investor presentations.
  • Conduct thorough credit analysis and due diligence on potential borrowers.
  • Support transaction structuring and syndication strategy, including investor engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Risk, Syndicate, Coverage, and Legal.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in leveraged finance, debt advisory, or credit-focused roles within investment banking or private credit.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in financial modelling and credit analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience working on large-cap transactions (typically €500m+ EV).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and detail-driven approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Familiarity with debt documentation and covenant structures.
  • European language skills are a plus.
