Job Title: Analyst - Leveraged Finance

Team: Leveraged Finance Origination
Role Summary:
A leading investment bank is seeking a technically strong Analyst to join its Leveraged Finance team in London. The role involves supporting the origination and execution of sponsor-backed and corporate leveraged transactions across Europe, with a focus on large-cap deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, dividend recapitalisations, and refinancings.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models including LBO, debt sizing, and covenant analysis.
- Prepare pitch materials, internal credit papers, and investor presentations.
- Conduct thorough credit analysis and due diligence on potential borrowers.
- Support transaction structuring and syndication strategy, including investor engagement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Risk, Syndicate, Coverage, and Legal.
Candidate Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in leveraged finance, debt advisory, or credit-focused roles within investment banking or private credit.
- Strong technical skills, particularly in financial modelling and credit analysis.
- Demonstrated experience working on large-cap transactions (typically €500m+ EV).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and detail-driven approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline.
- Familiarity with debt documentation and covenant structures.
- European language skills are a plus.
