AI FinOps & Governance Lead
Overview
A growing organization is looking for a strategic and operational leader to oversee enterprise AI and digital productivity platforms. This role sits at the intersection of technology operations, financial stewardship, governance, and vendor management, ensuring intelligent technology solutions are delivering measurable business outcomes while remaining secure, scalable, and cost-efficient.
The successful candidate will drive platform performance, monitor technology investments, oversee vendor partnerships, and provide leadership with meaningful insights into adoption trends, utilization patterns, and overall business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration and ongoing support of enterprise AI and automation technologies, including access management, user onboarding, permissions, and platform maintenance.
- Act as the central coordinator for platform-related inquiries, troubleshooting efforts, enhancement requests, and third-party vendor engagement.
- Monitor consumption trends, subscription utilization, and technology investment performance across AI and SaaS environments.
- Design and maintain reporting frameworks that measure platform engagement, operational effectiveness, cost efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Lead initiatives to improve resource utilization, eliminate unnecessary licensing expenses, and maximize value from technology investments.
- Partner with Finance teams to support budgeting cycles, forecasting activities, chargeback models, and technology expense tracking.
- Produce executive-level analyses highlighting adoption rates, return on investment, operational efficiencies, and strategic value realization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Technology, Finance, Procurement, Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, and business functions to support enterprise technology objectives.
- Maintain and enhance governance practices that promote responsible technology usage, compliance with internal policies, and adherence to security standards.
- Participate in the assessment, implementation, and lifecycle management of emerging AI solutions and strategic technology vendors.
- Maintain organized records for audits, regulatory reviews, contract management, platform inventories, and operational procedures.
- Track platform health, user engagement, and policy compliance, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Support contract negotiations, renewals, usage reconciliations, and supplier management activities while maintaining accurate licensing and vendor documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience administering enterprise software platforms and cloud-based business applications.
- Strong understanding of technology financial management, subscription economics, software licensing structures, and cost optimization methodologies.
- Familiarity with modern AI productivity solutions, intelligent automation tools, and enterprise collaboration technologies.
- Advanced analytical capabilities with experience translating usage data into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated success managing technology vendors, service agreements, and renewal processes.
- Ability to communicate technical and financial concepts to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
- Experience balancing multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work cross-functionally across operational, financial, and technical teams.
- Knowledge of platform administration concepts, including identity management, user provisioning, permissions, and reporting.
Preferred Credentials
The following certifications are considered advantageous:
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP)
- ITIL Foundation or higher
- Cloud platform administration certifications
- AI, automation, or SaaS platform certifications
- Business intelligence and analytics certifications
