Vendor Risk Manager
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Compensation: 110-140k base
I am currently working with a growing regional bank in the Midwest to grow out their Operational Risk team by adding a Vendor Risk Manager to their team in either Milwaukee or Green Bay.
Ideal candidates for this position have 5-8 years of experience related to ORM programs and practices in the financial services industry and are familiar with vendor risk management principles. In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight and implementation of the firm's Third Party Risk Management framework. This includes working closely with different lines of business to support and execute the TPRM framework which includes risk assessment, analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Vendor Risk Management program for the firm, working closely with the Head of Risk Management
- Act as a SME in the TPRM space - Hold trainings and provide guidance on Vendor Risk policies and procedures for all business lines
- Establish an effective risk management assessment and continuous monitoring program
- Work closely with senior leadership and other stakeholders across the business to improve the overall risk management framework in accordance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in an Operational Risk Management function, ideally in the financial services industry, and exposure to vendor risk management principles
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or another related field
- Strong project management background
- Experience working in a collaborative work environment with cross functional teams and people of varying levels of seniority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant certification preferred
