Financial Services Professionals Making Moves for the Right Roles

Financial Services Professionals Making Moves for the Right Roles

Our recent Global Job Confidence Index 2021 explored the sentiments of 1,600 financial services professionals globally, with nearly 800 of those professionals coming from North America. Of these respondents, 64% indicated a willingness to relocate for a job opportunity. These results mirror the mindset of professionals in 2020, who were looking to migrate out of major cities while remote work began to gain traction.

The Southeast has been named the most popular relocation destination in 2021, replacing the Northeast. Cities like Charlotte, Atlanta, and Miami are seeing significant growth in financial services as they continue to emerge as tech and finance hubs.

"Financial Services firms are opening office locations all over the country in hubs that were less traditional for the industry. Many firms moving to the southeast like Florida, or Texas, or the west coast and this migration is appealing to many candidates who want to take advantage of the different lifestyle and lower cost of living."

- Jack Trudeau, Managing Director at Phaidon Interntional
