I'm partnering with a well‑established government health consulting group that works closely with state Medicaid agencies on complex, high‑impact initiatives. This team supports multi‑state Medicaid programs and brings together actuarial, clinical, pharmacy, and policy expertise to solve real program challenges.
What you'll do
- Lead day‑to‑day Medicaid actuarial engagements, including financial analysis, rate development, and overall project delivery
- Develop and review client‑ready reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations
- Perform and review complex actuarial models and assumptions to ensure actuarial soundness
- Serve as a primary client contact, managing timelines, questions, and deliverables
- Mentor junior actuarial staff and support project team development
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client engagements
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of Health Actuarial experience, with 3+ years of Medicaid experience
- Strong client and project management skills in a consulting environment
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred experience
- Medicaid work across multiple states, programs, or payer types
- Prior actuarial consulting background
- ASA or FSA credentials
- Experience with capitated rate development or health plan financial analysis
