Product Manager - Personal Homeowners

Our client is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development, pricing, and performance management of personal lines products, including homeowners, dwelling, and related coverages.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on in creating and refining products, while collaborating across underwriting, operations, actuarial, marketing, and claims to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the performance of personal lines products, ensuring achievement of growth, profit, and expense goals.
• Proactively identify and address adverse trends through data analysis and cross-functional coordination.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive business plan, including premium targets, loss ratio goals, expense budgets, geographic strategy, and long-term product development roadmaps.
• Manage regulatory compliance and lead rate, rule, and form filings across applicable states.
• Oversee competitive intelligence efforts, analyzing market trends and competitor offerings to inform product strategy.
• Collaborate with marketing to focus efforts on the most profitable segments and regions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in personal lines insurance, with a focus on homeowners or combined home and auto products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of pricing and ratemaking principles (e.g., loss development, IBNR, credibility).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive performance improvements.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize effectively and allocate resources for maximum impact.
