Our client, a newly formed private credit investment firm with approximately $250 million in AUM, is seeking a Managing Director of Originations to join their growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned private credit professional looking to make an entrepreneurial leap and play a pivotal role in building a new platform
The firm operates as an SBIC fund and focuses on Lower Middle Market, sponsor-backed direct lending transactions across a broad range of sectors. The firm was founded by two industry veterans, one of whom previously founded and built a $40 billion AUM credit platform from the ground floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead origination efforts for Lower Middle Market sponsor-backed direct lending transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with private equity sponsors and intermediaries.
- Drive deal sourcing strategy and identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the investment team to structure and execute transactions.
- Represent the firm in the market as a senior leader and trusted partner.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in private credit with a proven track record of originating Lower Middle Market sponsor-backed deals.
- Strong network of private equity sponsors and intermediaries.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
