Ops/Trade Support - Hedge Fund
Selby Jennings has partnered with a HK-based multi-billion USD single-CIO hedge fund in seeking an Operations professional to join its high performing team. This role will be based in Hong Kong, reporting directly to the firm's COO, and will gain exposure to / work closely with the front, middle, and back office to ensure seamless trade lifecycle management across global markets.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and corporate action support.
- Provide daily trade support to portfolio managers and traders across global equity markets.
- Liaise with brokers, custodians, fund administrators, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely trade processing.
- Monitor and resolve trade breaks, settlement issues, and operational exceptions.
- Support key middle- and back-office functions, including P&L checks, NAV oversight, and cash/position reconciliations.
- Assist with periodic reporting, process enhancements, and operational risk controls.
- Contribute to ongoing system, workflow, and automation improvements within the operations function.
Requirements:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in Operations or Trade Support within a hedge fund, asset manager, or sell-side institution.
- Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle and operational workflows.
- Should bring recent exposure and experience to finance, fund operations, or product control functions considered a plus.
- Solid knowledge of equity products; with exposure to trades across global markets beneficial.
- Experience with Enfusion or similar OMS/PMS platforms considered a significant advantage.
- Highly organized with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be willing to be based in Hong Kong.
