Lead Actuarial Risk Modeler

Our client is one of the oldest and largest insurance groups operating in over 40 countries, offering a wide range of insurance products including:

  • Property & Casualty Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Reinsurance
  • Commercial Insurance (marine, aviation, business liability)
  • Specialty Insurance (cyber, professional indemnity, etc.)


This hybrid role is ideal for a seasoned professional passionate about developing and validating cutting-edge risk models that support global insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cyber & Cat Analytics: Leverage vendor cyber models and analytics to support risk management and underwriting.
  • Model Evaluation & Research: Validate model components, develop benchmarks, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Model Development: Design and enhance risk models for cyber, man-made accumulation risks, and natural catastrophes.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Lead training sessions and collaborate across teams to share insights and research.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (advanced degree or ACAS/FCAS preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber risk modeling, actuarial science, or catastrophe modeling within the P&C (re)insurance industry
  • Proficiency with vendor cyber models and related frameworks
  • Strong background in statistics, simulation, and stochastic modeling
  • Programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
  • Familiarity with man-made accumulation risks and catastrophe modeling
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Project management experience is a plus
