Investment Banking Associate
A leading independent investment bank is seeking a highly motivated Associate I to join its Technology Investment Banking Group. The team advises clients across software, digital infrastructure, IT services, tech‑enabled services, and emerging technology sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers, gain exceptional transaction experience, and build deep expertise across the technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements
- Develop detailed financial models, including valuation (DCF, precedent transactions, comparables) and merger modeling
- Conduct in‑depth industry and company research to support pitches and live transactions
- Prepare client materials such as pitch decks, management presentations, offering memoranda, and board materials
- Lead parts of the due diligence process, coordinating with internal teams and external counterparties
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and business development efforts
- Mentor and oversee analysts, providing guidance on deliverables and workflow
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience, including at least 1-2 years in investment banking or a closely related field (private equity, corporate development, equity research, etc.)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proven experience building complex models from scratch
- Deep interest in the technology sector and understanding of relevant industry trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work
