Investment Banking Analyst - Technology
My client, a boutique investment bank specializing in the technology sector, is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join their New York office. The firm has been operating for 25 years, providing deep sector expertise and long‑standing relationships across software, digital infrastructure, internet, and emerging tech verticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments.
- Build, analyze, and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation, LBO, merger, and operating models.
- Conduct sector-specific research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking within the technology landscape.
- Prepare client materials such as pitchbooks, management presentations, and board updates.
- Assist in due diligence processes, working directly with senior bankers and clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders across multiple geographies.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a closely related environment.
- Technology sector experience is strongly preferred (software, SaaS, infrastructure, fintech, or adjacent verticals).
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills and comfort working in a client-facing environment.
- High attention to detail and a team‑oriented mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field
- Series 79 required/ strongly preferred
