About the Role
- A growing homeowners insurance provider is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, development, and performance of its product portfolio. This senior leadership position requires a professional who can combine strategic vision with hands-on execution and strong collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the entire product lifecycle from concept and design through launch and ongoing optimization
- Work closely with technology, compliance, actuarial, and underwriting teams to ensure accurate and timely product delivery
- Define product strategy and align it with organizational goals and growth objectives
- Manage product profitability including setting and monitoring revenue, expense, and margin targets
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and proactively address changes in the regulatory environment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners including carriers, reinsurers, and regulatory bodies
- Present clear, data-driven insights and updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a strategic mindset
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and systems implementation processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight timelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Mathematics, or related field
- At least 10 years of product management experience within the insurance industry
- Proven success in launching and managing insurance products
- Experience managing portfolios to performance targets such as PML-to-premium ratios and loss ratios
- Familiarity with reinsurance structures and their impact on profitability
- Hands-on experience with insurance systems implementation and user acceptance testing
