Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end close by analyzing variances and preparing journal entries.
- Conduct inventory and COGS analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and update standard costs, BOMs, and routings in SAP.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and purchasing to ensure accurate cost data.
- Estimate costs for new products and assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Reconcile inventory to the general ledger and manage reserves for obsolete inventory.
- Track capital spending, manage asset records, and conduct asset audits.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve open items.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, including labor and overhead rate development.
- Document procedures and support special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
