Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of our organization within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry. The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a strong background in Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial data, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Oversee all general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Manage POC accounting for long-term contracts, including revenue recognition and cost tracking.
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Prepare and present financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Support M&A due diligence and integration activities as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the TIC or related service-based industry.
  • Strong expertise in POC accounting and revenue recognition under ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
