Role:
The CTO will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the entire IT function within the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background; as my client is a regulated the company, you must also know and be familiar with the regulatory framework such DORA, CSSF Circular 17/654, 18/698 and others.
Main Tasks:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company's business objectives.
- Designing and overseeing the architecture IT structures ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability
- Centralize and take ownership of data and automation efforts to streamline reporting and reduce manual work
- Build a scalable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure from scratch, platforms, database.
- Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Drive innovation and cross-functional collaboration to ensure IT is included in business and operational decisions
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their technology needs.
- Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize technology investments
- Oversee IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource allocation.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a technology leadership role, preferably within the financial industry.
- Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, PMP) are a plus.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with modern development frameworks and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and micro services architecture
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data management strategies
