Account Executive
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our Employee Benefits team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day account activities for moderately complex client accounts within large group benefits (51+ lives), including both fully insured and self-funded arrangements. You will oversee a designated book of business, foster strong client relationships, and ensure compliance and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client service needs and provide administrative support for assigned accounts.
- Manage client onboarding, renewals, and open enrollment meetings.
- Lead designated renewals: prepare RFPs, analyze competitive proposals, and deliver renewal presentations with recommendations.
- Resolve complex service issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Conduct annual compliance reviews and ensure Health & Welfare plan compliance.
- Maintain accurate data in applicable systems and manage client benefit portals.
- Coordinate employee communications for enrollment and vendor management.
- Prepare utilization reports and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Educate clients on legislation, compliance, and market trends.
- Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and certifications.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 7-10 years in account management or client services within insurance or related industry.
- Licensing: Active Life & Health Producer license required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
