Position Summary
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated VP or SVP to join its Gift and Estate Tax Valuation practice. This is a leadership role for a valuation professional with a strong technical background, client-facing experience, and a proven track record in delivering high-quality valuation services for estate and gift tax purposes. Experience testifying would be ideal.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex valuation engagements related to gift and estate tax planning and compliance.
- Provide technical oversight and review of valuation reports prepared for IRS submission.
- Collaborate with attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors to support high-net-worth clients.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering professional development and technical growth.
- Testify as an expert witness in court or before the IRS, when required.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including client relationship management and proposal development.
- Stay current on IRS regulations, tax court rulings, and valuation methodologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience (for the VP level) in gift and estate tax valuations.
- Strong understanding of IRS valuation standards and relevant tax code sections.
- Experience with valuation of closely held businesses, FLPs, LLCs, and other complex entities.
- Expert witness testimony experience is highly desirable.
- Professional credentials such as ASA, CFA, CPA/ABV, or similar are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while collaborating with national teams.

Expected Compensation:
Base Salary: $150k+
Bonus: Discretionary
