Job Title: Valuations Senior Associate
Position Summary:
We are currently partnered with a Middle-Market Investment Banking looking to add members to their growing Valuations team. As a Valuations Senior Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality valuation analyses for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax planning, strategic decision-making, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with senior bankers, clients, and cross-functional teams to support complex valuation engagements across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute valuation engagements including business enterprise valuations, intangible asset valuations, purchase price allocations (PPA), and fairness opinions.
- Develop and review complex financial models using DCF, market multiples, precedent transactions, and other valuation methodologies.
- Conduct industry and company-specific research to support valuation assumptions and conclusions.
- Prepare and present valuation reports and client deliverables with clear, concise, and defensible conclusions.
- Collaborate with internal teams including M&A, capital markets, and financial sponsors to support deal execution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant valuation standards (e.g., ASC 820, ASC 805, IRS, IVS).
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Master's preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, ASA, or CPA are highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in valuations, audit, assurance, or financial due diligence.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
