TMT Senior Portfolio Manager - L/S Equity
An established investment firm is continuing to grow its equities business and is looking to add a Senior TMT Portfolio Manager in London.
The mandate spans the European and US markets and can accommodate different areas of specialism within technology, media and telecoms. The priority is finding an investor with strong sector judgement, a credible track record and an investment approach that can perform across changing market conditions.
This is a high-impact role with meaningful capital and the freedom to run a distinct portfolio. The firm is not looking to impose a fixed style or investment framework. It wants a PM who understands where they have an edge, can explain how that edge translates into returns and has the risk discipline to build a scalable strategy around it.
What they are looking for
- An established PM or Sub-PM with experience investing across TMT
- Strong knowledge of the European and US markets
- A track record of finding differentiated opportunities on both sides of the book
- Deep understanding of company fundamentals, industry structures and competitive dynamics
- Clear judgement around catalysts, earnings revisions and valuation
- Evidence of disciplined risk-taking and effective drawdown management
- A strategy that can scale without losing its core sources of alpha
- The ability to operate independently while contributing to the wider equities platform
The successful candidate will have the resources and support to build the strategy properly. As the portfolio develops, there will also be scope to increase the capital allocation and add further investment talent around them.
