Statutory Accounting Manager
A leading Global Specialty Insurance Provider is looking to add a Statutory Accounting Manager to the team. This person will be reporting into the AVP of Statutory Accounting of, so there is significant exposure to senior leadership giving you the opportunity to grow up the ladder quickly. This position will be on a hybrid schedule working out of Jersey City.
What you will do…
- Prepare and submit statutory financial reports
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
- Review month-end close activities for errors and prepare journal entries.
- Participate in annual financial audits and work with external auditors.
- Collaborate with departments to prepare and file quarterly and annual statutory statements.
- Act as a liaison between different sides of the business
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years P&C Insurance Accounting/Finance experience
- Yellow Book and Schedule F experience preferred but not required
- Statutory accounting experience
- CPA, Master's, or MBA preferred but not required
