Job Title: Director/Managing Director - SPAC Investment Banking

Location: New York, NY

Job Summary: My client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director/Managing Director to join their SPAC Investment Banking team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in originating and executing SPAC transactions, strong client relationship skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior bankers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Actively pursue business development opportunities and originate new SPAC transactions. Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts and referral sources.
  • Deal Execution: Lead deal teams in the execution of SPAC transactions from initial pitch to closing. Manage day-to-day aspects of client relationships and serve as the primary contact for clients.
  • Client Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, professional development, and mentoring for junior staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Market Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge and expertise in the SPAC market, including regulatory developments, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on SPAC transactions.
  • Proven track record of originating, executing, and closing SPAC transactions.
  • Established relationships with private equity firms, institutional investors, and industry contacts.
  • Strong understanding of SPAC structures, deal mechanics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor.
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior bankers.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 or 79 required; Series 24 preferred.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required.
