We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our growing risk function within a fast-paced commodity trading environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing market, credit, and operational risk exposures across our trading portfolios, ensuring robust risk governance, and acting as a strategic business partner to front-office traders, senior management, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily market risk: P&L, VaR, sensitivities, stress tests, and scenario analysis.
Ensure accurate representation of physical and financial commodity positions in risk systems.
Challenge exposure drivers, pricing assumptions, and trading strategies.
Monitor counterparty credit risk, set limits, and recommend mitigants (collateral, margining).
Support counterparty onboarding and review trading agreements (ISDA/CSA, EFET, GTMA).
Maintain and enhance risk policies, controls, and reporting frameworks.
Partner with traders and senior management on new products, structures, and deals.
Collaborate with quants and IT to improve risk systems, analytics, and data quality.

Requirements

7-10 years' experience in market or credit risk within commodity trading or energy trading.
Strong understanding of physical and derivative markets (oil, gas, power, metals, ags).
Solid quantitative skills; advanced Excel required; Python/SQL/BI tools a plus.
Familiarity with derivatives pricing, valuation, and risk metrics.
Confident interacting with and challenging traders.
Experience with ETRM systems (Endur, Allegro, etc.) advantageous.
Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
