A dynamic and growing lower middle market private equity firm headquartered in Atlanta is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Private Equity Associate to join its investment team. The firm employs a generalist approach, targeting control investments across a diverse range of industries including business services, healthcare, industrials, and consumer products. With a focus on value creation through operational improvements and strategic growth initiatives, the firm partners closely with management teams to drive long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth industry research and market analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Perform financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence on potential acquisitions.
- Support deal execution, including drafting investment memoranda, coordinating third-party advisors, and managing data rooms.
- Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to monitor performance, support strategic initiatives, and drive value creation.
- Assist in fundraising efforts and investor communications as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with a deep understanding of corporate finance and accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus but not required.
