A DMV-based Private Credit firm with over $1B in committed capital is seeking a Senior Associate to join its investment team. The firm focuses on middle-market companies across a variety of industries including business services, consumer, industrials, and manufacturing. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a lean, collaborative team and take on a leadership role in deal execution and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead market and industry research to support investment theses
- Drive financial modeling, valuation, and return analyses for prospective investments
- Take ownership of due diligence processes, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Play a key role in investment committee preparation and presentation
- Oversee portfolio company performance, including financial monitoring and strategic initiatives
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to firm-wide process improvements
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A), Private Credit, or Private Equity, ideally with exposure to middle-market transactions
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
- Proven ability to lead deal processes and manage multiple workstreams
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (modeling test required)
- Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience or interest in sectors such as business services, industrials, manufacturing, and/or consumer
