Job Title: Onshore Institutional Sales
Location: Shanghai or Shenzhen
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking 1-2 strong institutional sales professionals with a proven track record in institutional client management. The ideal candidates should have established transferable resources and deep familiarity with wealth management subsidiaries, proprietary trading desks of securities firms, FOFs, and family offices. This role is critical to strengthening the institutional fund base, as our current business is primarily centered around channel and individual clients, with institutional funds comprising a smaller portion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand relationships with institutional clients, including quantitative firms, wealth management subsidiaries, and proprietary trading desks of securities firms.
- Leverage existing networks and fundraising expertise to attract institutional capital and strengthen the firm's institutional client portfolio.
- Identify and engage with high-potential quantitative firms, particularly those with strong historical fundraising capabilities despite recent challenges in strategy performance.
- Support fundraising and client acquisition efforts with strategic institutional partnerships, ensuring long-term growth and sustainability.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to integrate institutional sales strategies into the firm's core business expansion plans.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven track record of institutional sales success, with demonstrated fundraising achievements.
- Strong network within wealth management subsidiaries, proprietary trading desks, FOFs, family offices, and other institutional investment entities.
- Familiarity with the quantitative investment industry and an ability to identify and onboard high-value institutional clients.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills, capable of migrating existing resources to support business growth.
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating with the broader team to execute strategic initiatives.
- Understanding of onshore capital markets with experience navigating institutional fundraising strategies.
