About the Opportunity
Our client, a high-performing hedge fund based in Hong Kong, is seeking a Head of Technology to lead and scale their technology function. This is a rare opportunity to join a sophisticated investment firm and play a pivotal role in shaping its technology strategy and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the firm's technology roadmap in alignment with business and regulatory objectives.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, including cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and business continuity planning.
- Software Development: Lead the development of proprietary tools and platforms to support research, trading, and risk management.
- Team Leadership: Manage and grow a team of developers and IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Budgeting & Planning: Own the technology budget, vendor relationships, and long-term planning initiatives.
- Executive Collaboration: Work directly with the CIO and senior leadership to support investment strategy and operational efficiency.
Ideal Candidate
- Senior technology leader with experience in hedge funds, asset management, or capital markets.
- Strong technical foundation across infrastructure, software engineering, and data systems.
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering scalable technology solutions.
- Deep understanding of equities trading workflows and front-to-back office systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Hong Kong.
