Global Head of Equity Quants - Managing Director
A leading international investment bank is actively looking for a Global Head of Equity Quants to join its expanding organization. This strategic hire aligns with the firms continued investment in its Equities trading business following several key hires this year.
An ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience and manage a global team of 15 quants. While they are looking for someone with strong leadership abilities to help influence decision making at the highest level, they would also need this hire to be somewhat hands on in developing and implementing quantitative models and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and integration of equity derivative models and analytics to support trading strategies
- Manage a team of quantitative analysts, developers and researchers while providing technical guidance and performance oversight.
- Strengthen global analytics and modeling efforts in tandem with strategic business expansion
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the global business including other quant teams, technology, and risk management
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a Front Office Equity quant role and at least 5 years of leadership or management experience
- Subject matter expertise in equity derivatives
- Strong programming skills in both C++ and Python
- Masters or PhD in a Quantitative Discipline including Computer Science, Math, Physics, Statistics, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-preforming teams and spearhead global initiatives
