FSA - Actuarial Modeling & Quantitative Consultant
A leading actuarial consulting firm is seeking a credentialed FSA with a strong background in modeling and quantitative analytics to join their dynamic and growing practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide range of clients in the life and annuities space, supporting high-impact projects in model development, modernization, and risk analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support actuarial modeling projects, including model development, validation, and transformation (e.g., Prophet, AXIS, MG-ALFA).
Apply advanced quantitative techniques to solve complex actuarial and financial problems for clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, risk managers, and senior actuaries.
Translate technical analyses into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Participate in model governance reviews, assumption setting, and regulatory readiness (e.g., LDTI, IFRS 17).
Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development through client presentations and proposal support.
Qualifications:
FSA designation required; additional credentials (e.g., CFA, CERA, or quantitative master's) a plus.
6+ years of actuarial experience, ideally within consulting, reinsurance, or carrier environments.
Strong modeling expertise in tools such as AXIS, Prophet, MG-ALFA, R, Python, or similar platforms.
Proven ability to work in fast-paced, client-facing settings and deliver high-quality solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
