Overview:
My client is hiring an experienced and driven E&S Commercial Lines Underwriter to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned underwriter with a strong background in Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines, deep broker and client relationships, and hands-on experience with underwriting platforms such as AIM and ImageRight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and manage a diverse book of E&S commercial lines business, ensuring profitability and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail agents, brokers, and internal stakeholders to drive new business and renewals.
- Analyze risk submissions, determine acceptability, pricing, and coverage terms in accordance with company standards.
- Utilize AIM and ImageRight systems for quoting, binding, and policy management.
- Collaborate with internal teams including actuarial, claims, and compliance to ensure holistic risk assessment and service delivery.
- Stay current on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the E&S space.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of underwriting experience in E&S commercial lines.
- Proven track record of cultivating and maintaining broker and client relationships.
- Proficiency in AIM and ImageRight platforms is required.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
- Professional designations such as CPCU, AU, or ASLI are a plus.
