Salary: $170,000 - $190,000

Job Description: We are on the lookout for a visionary Director of Underwriting Innovation to join our progressive team. This pivotal role involves leveraging advanced data analytics and AI to revolutionize our underwriting processes, ensuring precise risk assessment and bespoke coverage solutions. Your role will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our Underwriting and Product teams, driving strategic decisions that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize underwriting data to uncover trends, drive insights, and recommend data-informed decisions for product development and enhancement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between Underwriting and Product teams, ensuring seamless integration of underwriting insights into product development.
  • Innovation Leadership: Stay updated with industry trends and innovations in underwriting and insurtech, implementing cutting-edge solutions to enhance our underwriting capabilities.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to improve underwriting processes and workflows, leveraging automation and AI where applicable.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leadership to align underwriting and product strategies with overall company goals, and effectively communicate key insights and recommendations.

Basic Requirements:

  • Insurance Expertise: Minimum of 5 years in underwriting or a related insurance field, with experience in underwriting innovation, insurtech, or product management.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to influence underwriting and product decisions.
  • Collaborative Experience: Proven experience working closely with product or technology teams to develop and enhance insurance products.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic change within an organization.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in insurance or data analytics are advantageous.
