Director - DACH Business Development
Selby Jennings is proud to be exclusively partnering with a leading European private credit investment firm with over €5 billion in assets under management. The firm specialises in senior direct lending, tactical opportunities, and special situations, and is seeking to hire a Director-level Fundraiser to lead capital formation efforts across the DACH region.
This is a high-impact role based in London, offering the opportunity to join a dynamic and growing platform with a strong track record and ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising and investor relations efforts across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, targeting institutional investors including pension funds, insurers, family offices, and consultants.
- Develop and execute a strategic fundraising roadmap for the DACH region, aligned with the firm's broader capital formation strategy.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with both existing and prospective LPs, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact.
- Collaborate with internal teams (investment, legal, operations) to deliver high-quality fund materials, DDQs, and RFPs.
- Represent the firm at investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows across the DACH region.
- Provide market insights and investor feedback to senior leadership to inform fundraising strategy and product development.
Candidate Profile
- 8-12 years of experience in fundraising, investor relations, or capital markets within private credit, private equity, or alternative investments.
- Demonstrated success in raising capital from institutional investors in the DACH region.
- Strong understanding of private credit strategies, particularly senior direct lending and opportunistic credit.
- Fluent in German and English - essential.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Based in London, with flexibility to travel frequently across the DACH region.
