About the Opportunity
A fast‑growing fintech building portfolio analytics and prime brokerage connectivity for hedge funds and asset managers is hiring an Onboarding Manager. You'll sit at the intersection of client service, prime brokerage operations, and technical implementation-owning the workflow that gets new funds live on the platform. This is not a KYC/compliance role. It's a hands‑on coordination seat where you make timelines move, unblock dependencies, and create a smooth first experience for sophisticated buy‑side clients.
Role Responsibilities
- Own the onboarding timeline from kickoff to go‑live for new hedge fund and asset‑manager clients.
- Coordinate with prime brokers to gather and confirm key artifacts (e.g., Letters of Authorization, pricing/fee schedules, high‑level implementation specs).
- Shepherd data and connectivity setup by working closely with internal implementation/engineering teammates.
- Track requirements and dependencies, identify bottlenecks, and exercise sound judgment on when to push, follow up, or escalate.
- Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders; provide concise status updates and next steps.
- Contribute to process improvements (checklists, templates, dashboards) as the onboarding pipeline grows.
- Jump in where needed across adjacent operational or client‑facing tasks-small company, big impact.
Required Background
- Experience in prime brokerage, financing, operations, clearing, trade support, or related capital‑markets functions.
- Familiarity with broker onboarding workflows, financing or activity reports, or implementation processes.
- Project‑management mindset: organized, deadline‑driven, comfortable managing multiple parties and workstreams.
- Clear, confident communicator who builds trust with clients, brokers, and internal teams.
- Good judgment on follow‑ups and escalations; calm under time pressure.
