What You'll Do

As a Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor on the ServiceNow team, responsible for planning, executing, and operating the enterprise technology platforms maintained by the firm. The ServiceNow team seeks someone who can actively participate in all phases of the Technology Delivery process. You will collaborate with team members to promote best practices in platform development and help others contribute to platform improvements. A strong background in development and system administration is essential.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to execute each primary duty effectively:

• Provide technical leadership in planning, designing, installing, testing, and implementing solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the ServiceNow platform for ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, HAM, SAM, and IRM.
• Execute deliverables including development, peer reviews, and platform administration.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for system development, security, tuning, and performance.
• Support data management activities and provide administrative assistance to stakeholders.
• Create knowledge content aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions for administration and self-service; develop a train-the-trainer model for support and administration.
• Take ownership of solution implementation and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality solutions that provide exceptional user experiences.

Qualifications

• Required: 5+ years of IT experience.
• Required: 5+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow or similar platforms for ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, SecOps, and/or GRC/IRM modules.
• Required: 3+ years of experience with JavaScript or other scripting languages.
• Required: Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Required: Ability to write clean, maintainable, bug-free code.
• Strong understanding of CMDB and CSDM 4.0+.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile/Scrum, and DevSecOps methodologies.

Technical Skills

• Ability to analyze user needs and design software to meet requirements.
• Clear communication skills for explaining software functionality and supporting team members.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in MIS or related field (or 8 years of additional related work experience in lieu of degree).
• 5-7 years of experience in development and/or system administration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining cloud platform technologies.

Certificates or Licenses

• ServiceNow admin/developer certifications preferred.
