Actuary - Life Valuation Reporting

My client is seeking an FSA with strong leadership, technical valuation experience, and a deep understanding of data governance within the life insurance space.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the valuation data team responsible for the management, transformation, and governance of actuarial data used in statutory, GAAP, and IFRS financial reporting.
Design and oversee the implementation of robust data frameworks and controls to support accurate liability calculations and financial disclosures.
Partner closely with valuation actuaries, finance, IT, and enterprise data teams to enhance systems, streamline data flows, and optimize the end-to-end valuation process.
Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements, modeling systems, and data best practices.
Provide strategic input on modernization initiatives, including cloud integration, automation, and tooling upgrades.
Qualifications:
FSA designation required; additional credentials (e.g., MAAA) a plus.
8+ years of actuarial experience, with a strong focus on life insurance valuation and data.
Demonstrated expertise in statutory, GAAP, and/or IFRS reporting frameworks.
Experience working with valuation software (e.g., GGY AXIS, MG-ALFA, or Prophet) and data tools such as SQL, Python, or SAS.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Strong understanding of actuarial modeling, controls, and data infrastructure.
