Job Overview

A leading venture capital firm is seeking a business development professional to support capital raisig and investor coverage efforts for US Insitutional investors. This indidivudal will work closely with the Head of Capital Formation to support both existing and prospective investor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Institutional Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective LPs-including pensions, consultants, endowments & foundations, insurers, and family offices.
  • Fundraising Execution: Support all aspects of capital formation across new fund launches, co-investments, and bespoke investor solutions. Lead outreach initiatives, track LP pipeline, and manage ongoing LP dialogue.
  • Investor Meetings & Representation: Represent the firm in meetings, conferences, and roadshows; deliver compelling narratives around the firm's strategy, track record, and market opportunity.
  • Marketing & Due Diligence Materials: Develop, refine, and maintain pitchbooks, due diligence materials, data rooms, quarterly updates, AGM materials, and other investor-facing communications.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with investment, finance, operations, and senior leadership to prepare content, gather data, and ensure consistency in external communications.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor fundraising activity, and macro themes relevant to institutional allocators.
  • Process & Infrastructure: Support the Head of Capital Formation in building scalable systems, reporting processes, and CRM discipline to enhance the team's effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 7-12+ years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, institutional fundraising, investor relations, or capital formation roles.
  • Demonstrated success managing and deepening relationships with institutional LPs.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; comfortable leading investor discussions with sophisticated allocators.
  • Experience developing fundraising and due diligence materials, including pitch decks, DDQs, RFPs, investor memos, and data rooms.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or relevant advanced credentials a plus.
