Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Long/Short Equity Research professional for a Senior Analyst role. This role focuses on the internet sector, requiring a deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
Candidates in this role will have the ability to own an allocation of portfolio in a risk-taking capacity, and as such - suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of managing risk and generating subsequent PnL and alpha at a buyside firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of companies within the internet sector.
- Develop and present investment ideas with a clear thesis and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor and interpret market trends, industry developments, and competitive dynamics.
- Build and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and valuation.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to integrate research insights into investment strategies.
- Prepare detailed research reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and their potential impact on the sector.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in equity research, with a focus on the internet sector.
- Demonstrable track record of contributing investment ideas with a positive PnL impact at a buyside firm.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
