Senior FPGA Engineer

A leading global trading firm is currently seeking a hardworking FPGA Engineer. You'll play a key role in all aspects of the development process from ideation to implementation creating bespoke solutions to our complex trading problems. You would also work closely with traders to identify the business problems we face and determine how they should be solved.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Accelerate Infrastructure: Design high-speed hardware for network and trading systems.
  • Innovate Low-Latency: Research and integrate new low-latency techniques.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with traders, developers, and engineers.
  • Optimize FPGA Interfaces: Ensure FPGAs work with cutting-edge server hardware.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors.

Qualifications:

  • A strong passion for technology and innovation in both software and hardware domains.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD).
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog or VHDL; familiarity with Python, C, Tcl, or Bash is a plus.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Hardware architecture and RTL design
    • Simulation and systems integration
    • FPGA synthesis, static analysis, and hardware validation/testing
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
