Senior Associate/AVP Private Credit (Tech/Software)
A leading alternative investment platform based in Chicago is looking to bring on a Private Credit Underwriter (Senior Associate/AVP level) to focus on Technology and Software investments. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of credit underwriting and can demonstrate an ability to balance detail with broader issues, in both written and oral communication. The primary responsibilities include coordinating industry research and company diligence, preparing transaction memos and underwriting reports, developing and evaluating financial models, supporting legal documentation negotiation, managing deal closings, and managing a portfolio of accounts. The firm has approximately ~$50B AUM, several office locations across the US, and decades of experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful private credit platform with an excellent culture.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- BA/BS/BBA degree required
- 5+ years of investment banking or private credit principal investing experience
- Software & Technology Services underwriting is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage and evaluate complex financial modeling
- Identify and analyze underwriting risks
- Coordinate, review, and assess transaction due diligence
- Ownership/Management of transaction processes including investment committee presentation materials
- Support the preparation, review, and negotiation of legal documentation and closing of transactions
