This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk Manager to lead the development of an international asset manager's Risk Management services. Reporting to the Risk Conducting Officer, you will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to build a high-quality, scalable, and innovative AIFM business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the permanent risk management function, a CSSF-approved role.
  • Understand and maintain the risk profiles of the AIFM and its funds, updating risk policies and regulatory frameworks accordingly.
  • Oversee fund compliance with investment objectives, risk parameters, and characteristics.
  • Continuously monitor market, credit, liquidity, counterparty, and operational risks, escalating any breaches for remediation.
  • Stay informed on the latest risk management trends and regulations, advising on new products and services.
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting, including AIFMD/Annex IV and CSSF requirements.
  • Engage with fund officers, clients, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective risk management.
  • Collaborate with teams across jurisdictions to strengthen relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering their development and engagement.
  • Manage the performance appraisal process for direct reports.
  • Participate in internal management meetings and contribute to the overall growth and smooth operation of the business.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and analysis to support business objectives.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar risk management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial services.
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise a team effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • High integrity, dependability, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and fund of funds asset classes is a plus, though not essential.
