Position Title: Director - Finance Transformation & Advisory
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid: 3-4 days/week in-office)
Compensation: $180,000-$250,000 base + bonus + benefits

Role Overview:
The Director will lead client engagements focused on finance transformation, process improvement, and performance optimization. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and team management. The ideal candidate is a seasoned consultant or industry leader with deep finance expertise and a passion for solving complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Client Engagement (30%)
- Serve as the primary client liaison and strategic advisor
- Identify opportunities for account growth and value creation
- Lead proposal development and contribute to business development
- Finance Transformation & Process Improvement (40%)
- Drive initiatives across Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, FP&A, and Treasury
- Lead finance strategy, operating model design, shared services, and post-merger integration
- Implement scalable, efficient processes that enhance financial performance
Data Analysis & Insight Development (20%)
- Design data collection frameworks and conduct stakeholder interviews
- Build financial models and conduct benchmarking analyses
- Synthesize findings into actionable insights and executive-level presentations
Team Leadership & Development (10%)
- Manage project teams, mentor junior staff, and oversee engagement delivery
- Support talent development and contribute to the firm's intellectual capital
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in consulting or industry, with a focus on finance transformation
- Expertise in financial modeling, process redesign, and M&A integration
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- MBA or advanced professional qualification
- Experience with shared services, outsourcing, and financial systems (e.g., Power BI, Adaptive)
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
