Salary: $100,000 - $140,000

They are committed to building a team of experienced and passionate Middle Market leaders and underwriters who deeply understand the unique challenges across various industries and customer segments. To support this growth, our client is seeking a seasoned Market Facing Property & Casualty Underwriter to join their team in Sacramento, CA.
In this role, you will act as a customer advocate, enhancing the customer experience by identifying unique risks and delivering comprehensive Property & Casualty insurance solutions.
Role Overview:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with broker partners and customers across diverse industries.
- Apply your underwriting expertise in risk assessment, exposure evaluation, and pricing to manage a profitable portfolio of new and renewal business.
- Collaborate across departments including claims, finance, risk engineering, actuarial, and technical underwriting to gain broad industry insights.
- Utilize your technical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to grow relationships with preferred distribution partners within your territory.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support
- Completion of a Certified Insurance Apprenticeship with an Associate Degree and 1+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles
- Completion of a Certified Insurance Apprenticeship with an Associate Degree and 4+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support
- Knowledge of relevant lines of business and regulatory guidelines
- Familiarity with time-sensitive quoting for new and renewal business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
