Title: Manager, Technical Claims & TPA

Location: Hybrid - Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Georgia, New York & New Jersey

Position Overview:

Our client, one of the top tier insurance carriers, is looking to bring on an experienced Manager of Technical Claims to the team. This role will be responsible for overseeing & managing claims outcomes while working with additional company functions. You will also manage TPA partners and ensure proper oversight of best claims practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Commercial General Liability and Auto, with TPA management oversight as a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee complex claims, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivering superior outcomes across technical, operational, and customer service dimensions.
  • Drive collaboration across internal departments and external partners to shape and implement high-level claim resolution strategies that mitigate risk and maximize value.
  • Direct the end-to-end management of claims, including high-stakes coverage analysis, litigation strategy, financial reserving, and settlement negotiations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural standards.
  • Champion proactive communication and stakeholder engagement, fostering transparency and trust with clients, brokers, and internal leadership through timely, accurate reporting and insights.
  • Oversee third-party administrator performance through governance, training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold excellence in claims handling and service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, JD preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in handling commercial auto and general liability claims.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
