A leading global investment platform is seeking a Senior Long/Short Credit Portfolio Manager to join its expanding credit business.

The successful candidate will be a PM-caliber investor with approximately 10+ years of experience generating alpha through discretionary investing across corporate credit markets. The team is interested in individuals with a demonstrated ability to originate, size, and manage long and short credit positions while maintaining a disciplined and repeatable investment process.

This role is best suited for a senior credit investor who has built a repeatable edge within corporate bonds and/or CDS markets and is looking to leverage that expertise within a highly resourced, institutional investment platform. The successful candidate will be capable of generating independent investment ideas, managing risk effectively, and delivering consistent alpha across market cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Generate and manage high-conviction long and short credit investments across global corporate credit markets.
Construct and oversee portfolios utilizing:
- Investment Grade & High Yield Corporate Bonds
- Single-Name CDS
- Credit Indices and related hedging instruments
Develop investment theses based on fundamental, relative value, technical, and catalyst-driven opportunities.
Manage portfolio risk, sizing, and capital allocation with a focus on consistent risk-adjusted returns.
Evaluate earnings, refinancing activity, capital structure developments, liability management transactions, M&A events, and macroeconomic trends.
Monitor market technicals, liquidity dynamics, and positioning to identify dislocations and trading opportunities.
Collaborate with internal research, trading, and risk teams to strengthen investment decision-making.

Candidate Profile

Approximately 10+ years of experience in corporate credit investing.
Proven track record as a:
- Credit Portfolio Manager
- Senior Long/Short Credit Investor
- Relative Value Credit PM
- Senior Credit Trader managing meaningful risk
Deep expertise in:
- Corporate Bonds
- Credit Default Swaps (CDS)
Strong understanding of portfolio construction, risk management, credit fundamentals, valuation, and market technicals.
Demonstrated ability to generate differentiated investment ideas and monetize them through a repeatable process.
Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate investment philosophy, portfolio construction, and historical performance.
