Investment Banking Associate - Boutique Investment Bank (NYC)
A boutique investment bank based in New York City is seeking a talented and experienced Investment Banking Associate to join its growing team. While the firm has historically focused on SPACs and (ECM), it is actively expanding into (M&A), offering a unique opportunity to help shape and build out the M&A practice.
The firm covers high-growth sectors including biotech, digital assets, crypto, and fintech, providing exposure to innovative companies and complex transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side advisory
- Assist with SPAC and ECM deals as needed, while focusing on expanding M&A capabilities
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analyses, and strategic assessments
- Prepare pitch books, management presentations, and transaction materials
- Coordinate due diligence and manage deal execution processes
- Engage with clients, legal advisors, and internal teams throughout the deal lifecycle
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of investment banking experience, with strong exposure to M&A transactions
- Solid technical skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring
- Sector experience in biotech, fintech, or digital assets is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
