Investment Banking Associate - Boutique Investment Bank (NYC)

A boutique investment bank based in New York City is seeking a talented and experienced Investment Banking Associate to join its growing team. While the firm has historically focused on SPACs and (ECM), it is actively expanding into (M&A), offering a unique opportunity to help shape and build out the M&A practice.

The firm covers high-growth sectors including biotech, digital assets, crypto, and fintech, providing exposure to innovative companies and complex transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side advisory
• Assist with SPAC and ECM deals as needed, while focusing on expanding M&A capabilities
• Conduct financial modeling, valuation analyses, and strategic assessments
• Prepare pitch books, management presentations, and transaction materials
• Coordinate due diligence and manage deal execution processes
• Engage with clients, legal advisors, and internal teams throughout the deal lifecycle

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of investment banking experience, with strong exposure to M&A transactions
• Solid technical skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring
• Sector experience in biotech, fintech, or digital assets is a plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
