Role: Inland Marine Underwriting Manager

Salary Range: $125,000 - $195,000 annually

Position Type: Hybrid (2 days remote/3 days in office)

Description: Our client is looking for an Inland Marine Underwriting Manager with extensive Marine insurance expertise to join their team. This role involves leading and expanding their Marine book of business. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge across various Inland Marine lines, with additional experience in Commercial Property underwriting being advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow the Marine lines of business independently
  • Oversee profit, rate, and retention for all Marine lines
  • Establish Marine underwriting standards and pricing guidelines
  • Hold the highest level of field Marine authority
  • Work with IT to implement new technology platforms to enhance online Marine products
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical support for Inland Marine across the organization
  • Manage the QA process for the Marine book of business

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of Inland Marine underwriting experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Inland Marine market
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Proficiency in managing profit, rate, and retention

Location Preferences: The preferred location for this role is the Sarasota office, but candidates in Lake Mary, FL, Lawrenceville, GA, Carmel, IN, or Richardson, TX are also considered. Remote work may be an option for the right candidate.
