A leading global quantitative trading firm is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Systems Engineer/Planner to lead critical projects within a high-performance computing environment. The infrastructure team is responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining world-class systems that support trading operations, including data center design, network optimization, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical implementation of compute, storage, and network infrastructure projects.
- Troubleshoot and support high-performance network systems, including InfiniBand and Ethernet.
- Apply a DevOps approach to automate infrastructure management and resolve complex issues.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure efficient deployment and maintenance of systems.
- Maintain high standards for work quality and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Linux systems, networking (e.g., CCNA-level knowledge), and Python scripting.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet.
- Experience in data center planning, including space, power, and cabling.
