The start-up fund is seeking a Head of Operations to oversee its daily operations and support its high conviction equity investment strategies. The fund is led by a highly prolific Chief Investment Officer and senior team members, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and influential investment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to support investment activities.
- Managing relationships with service providers, including custodians, brokers, and administrators.
- Coordinating with the investment team to ensure seamless execution of trades and portfolio management.
- Monitoring and managing operational risks, implementing controls to mitigate potential issues.
- Leading and mentoring the operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of fund performance and operational metrics.
- Supporting the fund's growth by identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Collaborating with senior management to align operational strategies with the fund's overall goals.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management within the asset management or hedge fund industry.
- Strong understanding of equity markets and investment strategies.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) preferred.
