Our client, a leading global quantitative trading firm, is expanding its trading activities, and they’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Software Engineer to join their growing team. The team leverages an internally developed infrastructure tailored to their specific trading needs, and they’re looking for someone who can use software engineering expertise to increase their trading capacity and scale the business further.

As part of this dynamic and expanding team, you will play an integral role in developing cutting-edge trading technology that directly impacts trading performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trading Interface Development: Design and develop user-friendly, responsive, and visually appealing trading interfaces to streamline and enhance the trading process, ensuring a seamless experience for traders and users.

  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with quantitative traders, researchers, and other developers to create intuitive and efficient trading experiences, helping to implement technology that supports new trading strategies and improvements to existing systems.

  • Model Improvement and Strategy Creation: Improve existing trading models and build new technologies to support statistical analysis and data mining, facilitating the creation of new trading strategies and enabling data-driven decisions.

  • Internal Libraries and Market Databases: Contribute to and utilize our internally developed libraries and market databases, ensuring the effective use of real-time data and analytics for enhanced trading operations.

What You Need:

  • Proficiency in C++ and Python, with a strong understanding of both languages and their application in building high-performance systems.

  • Knowledge of data streaming solutions such as Redis and Kafka for real-time data processing.

  • Experience with (non-)relational databases, backtesting frameworks, and working with financial data is a strong plus.

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and continuously improve on current systems and processes.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a passion for improving software systems that directly impact trading performance.
